Trying like heck to make the duckbill fender from the earlier LTD's (just purchased one on ebay from an 80'), fit my 81'. It sits nicely over my rear fender, atop of the brake light and looks awesome. No where to attach it but I think I can fabricate a cross piece to make it fit. The problem now is my 81' seat doesn't even come close to closing with it in place. I'm looking at some used 80's seats on ebay and the pan looks much wider in the rear to accomodate the duckbill. I paid $30 for the fender and don't mind spending the same for the seat. I figure I can move the hinge mounts around as well as the latch to line up with my current frame. Anyone out there ever been down this road? Would love to hear and maybe see some pics of this kind of mod.
