matching belt pulley sizes

I'm going from chain drive back to a belt on an '82 kz440 LTD. I've seen two different combinations of belt pulley sizes in the service manual, 22/60 teeth and 24/65. At the moment I have a 22 front and a 65 rear. Does anyone know whether they will work ok as a pair? thanks.

Good question, I'd be concerned that the belt length may cause issues. 22/60 belt being too short and the 24/65 belt being too long for your pulley setup of 22/65.

Obviously your final drive ratio will be different as well. Resulting in higher revs compared to the 22/60 or the 24/65.
