Squeeky front brake

Front brake caliper on my Z1 Squeeks so bad it will shatter glass. I repeataly scuff the pads and rotor and clean with brake cleaner but every few weeks the squeek returns. Any ides. pretty annoying

Get some brake anti-squeal at an auto store (Permatex and others make it) and apply it to the BACK of your pads. Let it set up overnight before reinstalling pads. Also, use a file or sandpaper to camfer the leading and trailing edges of the pads. Clean the rotors with a little alchohol, and give 'er a try. Ed

Also some aftermarket pads are not fit for anything but the garbage can. I fought this problem on my KZ650 for a long time and wasted a lot of money on pads before I came to the realization that only stock Kawasaki pads work. There may be some that work, but definately some you can spend 20 hrs playing with and they will still squeal.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
