z1r front master cylinder

Im having a problem with my front master cylinder on the z1r rebuild. it is stuck. it says in the manual that you can kill yourself trying to mess with it, and that you should take to the kaw dealer. it also says that if it is froze you just have to replace it.

Is there any way to fix it or do i have to just have to hunt a good used one down?

thanx

i didnt see a listing on z1 enterprises, you might try calling them.
babbits lists the comeplete assembly for $264.00 :S       they also list seperate parts depending on what you need .
Still recovering, some days are better than others.

I have the same problem on my build up . I have been letting mine sit in penetrating oil for a week and it will only move inward. I can put shop air to it and it will move just a little and then no farther . I have found some times it is better to go with a new part . After all it is your brakes!! Better to be safe than sorry!!

Before resorting to force, make sure there is no snap ring/circlip holding the piston in. www.z1enterprises.com sells a long nosed snap ring plier for just this type of job.
