Can not for the life of me find....

okay... I have no idea where to find the ratios for the speedo and tach on my bike, can't find them in my manual either...
I'd like to shop around for some minis but don't know what to look for!

I have a 1981 KZ550A... anyone know? or know where I can look?

Welcome to the maddness of KZR Johnny ! don't remember where I got this but wrote down that the speedo ratio on the 550 is 2240:60 . hope this helps. Duke

LOL... I am definitely finding out that being mechanically capable is only a fraction of the challenge with these little bikes! It's a hunt for everything!!! :blink:

Thanks a lot... if you have a KZ 550 I'd love to see more examples and the best places to find performance upgrades, such as best jet upgrades to run when upgrading to the pod filters, tricks for wiring, etc...

I'm all ears to any of you guys! Now I'm off to find some gauges!

hey duke, do you know the proper tach ratio for the kz 550? i see a couple different pairings on bundles and want to make sure I get the proper one...

I though the ratio was all based on wheel size, no matter what bike you had. Could be wrong though
