mastercylinder or brake caliper

I am having trouble working out the front brakes on a kz 900 dual disk. Its a 76 and just rebuilt mastercylinder and am getting nothing. checked front calipers, the piston moves hard in and out. It should be alot freeer i would think, but it also fells like the mastercylinder isnt pushing or pulling fluid.

Tried but cant get any fluid to pull up
its like there is nothing there, you pull the handle and nothing, closing or opening bleeder ports doesnt help. I put two tubes in fluid and hooked them up to the bleeder vavles noting. no leaks as far as fluid flowing out any where.

Sounds like you may have air in the master cylinder. You may have to take a brake line loose at the combination valve and put it inside the master cylinder. Then you can pump the master cylinder until the air bubbles stop coming out of the brake line.

Is the hole in the bleeder valves clogged? Had the same thing happen to me tonight.

When I rebuilt my clipers and put on braided lines, it took me almost two weeks to bleed them. Just keep pumping and they will stiffen up.

i just did the twin calipers on mine. took two days of pumping and vacuum bleeding to get all the air out. youre on the right track just keep at it. if you can borrow a vacuum pump do it. makes this pain in the butt job go a bit easier...steve
