Kick stand weld failure was created by CHARLESRAD
Just picked up a 1982 kz 750 Twin CSR M1 today. Purchased off E-bay with 6799 miles execellent riding condition, however during shipping the kickstand lower weld was tore. It is hanging on by the top weld. Need some suggestions should I have it welded or remove it? Replacing it with an aftermarket kickstand?

If it isn't mangled I'd just weld it back. Of course that depends on if you can weld or if you have someone available to weld it.

That's not unusual, the weld was broke in the same place on a 77 750B frame that I am using in a project. I just bent the kickstand back to it's normal position and welded it.
As far as removing it, keep in mind that the 82 750 twin does not have a center stand, and the frame lacks the mounting for a center stand.
