Chain Clearance? 630 to 530 was created by squints
I know there are many threads on the 530 conversion, but heres one more.

I want to swap in the 530 chain on my 82kz1000m. I'm currently running a 16F/39R sporkets with a 96 link 630 chain and I hope to swap in a 17F/43R with a 112 link 530 chain.

Heres my question: Will I run into and chain clearance issues?
I could not locate diameter measurements for the 530 sprockets, any help there would be great.

Has anyone else done the 530 conversion to their Kz1000 "J" engine? Any comments on the proposed sprockets?

Thanks

I did the 530 chain conversion on my 81 KZ1000 M1, and there were no clearance issues at all. The sprockets have more teeth, but are close in diameter.

I believe mine are 15/40, as they didnt have the 16 front at the time, but it makes no difference, as ive done the 16 on others.

Good luck.

PS. 15/40 makes her real quick!

yeah, I think it was a 110.

If you just call Z1 Enterprises, they will tell you exactly what you need for sprockets, chain, etc. in no time at all. They're extremely helpful for this stuff!

Good luck.
