loosen the triple tree and let it slide down the forks, when the bike is at your desired height, tighten them mofos back up.

sportster shocks have been used to lower the rear.a nice gsxr frontend and 17" wheel would be a nice way to lower the front and get 2000 + suspension and brakes.

no cutting just slide the legs up towards the bars however much you can(before they hit the handlebars)or want to.struts are a cheap easy way to lower the back.it'll feel like you are taking one up the dukechute every time you hit a bump tho  .or so i hear:ohmy: .

Just remember if you move front forks up through the triple trees that you are shortening distance between bottom tree and fender. Tree is much harder then that front fender and will not have any mercy on that thin metal fender. I have a few fenders to prove it! There are also brackets that mount to rear shocks and the lwer mounts that move bottom of shock back about an inch or so to help lower the bike. I use shocks that are about 1 1/2" shorter to touch ground flat foot. Can't remember the brand as it was many years ago but you can find shorter shocks if you look around. You can also put a spacer in the lower fork legs to lower the front forks to any distance you want. Just cut the spacer the required amount. You can buy them but they are just aluminum tubing. I have even heard guys use PVC pipe but not sure how that would hold up. Been told KZ650 forks are shorter and I know H2 forks are...that's what I use on my bike.
