1982 1000 LTD Front Brake Upgrades?

The front brakes are sticking on my newly aquired LTD. I imagine it is the mastercylinder as both sides are sticking but I figure it is a 28 year old bike all three items could use a rebuild.

Are there any upgrades? Later model MC or calipers that will bolt on? Not looking to fab anything.

Check out EBC for pad/rotors."HH" pads work REALLY well.A front master rebuild kit can be had most anywhere for cheap.Change out the master cover rubber gasket too.Flush out the system with NEW clean fluid.TIP:>If the bleeders are not at the top of the caliper,you aren't going to get all the air out,and it won't stop.Take the caliper off,and hold it so the bleeder is straight up and let it gravity bleed for a while.Use a big set of channel locks to keep a little pressure on the piston.Yeah,it's a big P.I.T.A. to do,esp if you have dual disk,but,it's worth it to do right.

The "Mity Vac" brake bleeding sytem works really well, I believe Sears sells it and possibly Wal-Mart.

Another item to buy would be the "Speed Bleeders",the type with the built in check valve.
