Looks to me to be 0.032" SS safety wire(I used it a lot when I was in the USAF and later at General Dynamics/Convair).

Not that it will help you with a 630 chain, but tractor supply has 50-series masterlink set (4) . I mangled my original clip from Z1, and used the clip from that kit. Been working fine. It was non o-ring, but the clip was the same.
