So I've got this 82 KZ 1100 A2 shaft bike that came with the touring package (fairing, bags, etc) and I'm in process of returning it to "Naked" status. It has this God-awful "Sadleman",HUGE puffy seat on it.I'm looking around and can't find a replacement for it,either comlete,or just foam and leather. But everybody seems to have one for the 1000 model. So the question is:>Are the seat pans the same for the 1000 and the 1100?Which ones are interchangable? Thanks.

I've got a 1000LTD and a 1100A2 Shaft in the garage. I just measured the Hinge placement, No Dice, as they are in a different spacing. Now any thing could be modified, including the seat pan you have now. A seat that you like could be made to fit, most likely, but removing the foam and cover to do some welding would be involved.

just take it to a competent upolstry shop they can recontour and recover in any style you want i get seats redone all the time and its really quite reasonable most times if the pan is in good shape. and the great thing is they can add memory foam or gell packs to make it way better than stock.

I know the tank on the A2 is HUGE,but I don't know about the LTD.Do you think the seat foam from the LTD would mate up to the tank OK,and is it the same length as the A2?Unless it's a 2-piece seat.I can get foam and a cover for the 1000 from Z1 Ent all day for $130 off E-bay.What do ya think?
