Hi, I am already planning on what I am going to do to my bike this winter to add to my newbies adventure! One of the things I want to do is add the forks from my GPz1100 to my LTD. According to my KZ1000 manual the J had a rake of 27.5, and my LTD has a rake of 29. Does the LTD have a larger rake angle simply by virtue of it's leading axle fork, or are the triple trees actually different? The ELR had a rake of 29*, so I am thinking I would want that for better handling right? I am essentially trying to figure out if I should put the GPz forks into the existing LTD trees, or if I should put the GPz trees on aswell. Any help would be great.
