Here's a shot of Ohlins piggy back shocks on a triple project I was working on but I think I will move them to the Z1 project bike.

I bought them on ebay for about $450 + shipping. I got a little carried away in the final few minutes of the auction! They are for a Honda CB1000 (93-97) the model # is S36P.

Damn those are pretty! Is that a gixxer arm?

It's an '84 GPz550 swingarm that I had the boys in the toolroom cut down to fit the S3/KH400 frame. That my go on the Z1 too. I'll probably have to add spacers now!

Am53 don't those shocks mount with the piggyback on the bottom? I'm pretty sure my buddy used to have the same ones on his CBX mounted with the reservoir on the bottom.

I think I will keep my eyes open for some zrx or zephyr takeoffs, I am putting them on a swing arm that was originally a monoshock, so I can move the mounts back to accomodate the 14.5 inch length. Even if they are worn out they will be better than the super worn out tired old stockers I have!

What kind of lower mount u got? I have a set of all chrome GS1100 clevis mount shocks and a set of KZ1000 Progressive shocks in pretty good shape.Better than worn out stockers.BJ

I don't have any bottom mount at the moment, I will put one on to match the shocks. I wouls get the progressive ones in a heartbeat, but I am stuck on the ELR look...thanks though.

Check out Works Performance shocks.
You have to give them all sorts of info, but when you're done you get a set of piggy back shocks set up for your particular bike, your weight, and your riding style.
What more could you ask for, and only $600

Here are a pair of YSS on my KZ650. Absolutely love them, like night and day compared to the original shocks.

I have ZRX shocks, and they seem a tad stiff. even at the lowest setting. the bikes weigh about the same though. you can also go to the zrx forum and see if anyone wants to sell a set.
over the winter i plan on rebuilding them and then we'll see how they are.

I got these Marzocci's off ebay for about $150. Totally rebuildable, you can get the clevis mount for a GS swingarm or eyes on both ends for a KZ swinger, just unscrew one and screw on the other. They still sell all parts for whatever your needs. They are a little dated but so is my bike.

I have the resovour (spell check) mounted on the bottom.
