My FSM shows a special tool that looks like a pick, another one that looks like a deep socket with a handle and a set of snap-ring pliers.

You'll need a set of long nose snap-ring pliers to get the internal plunger C clip out. Look inside the hole where the banjo bolt threads in. Z1 Enterprises carries a Motion Pro tool specifically designed for this.

The deep reach circlip pliers are a must. Depending on the state of the snap-ring clip, you may want to soak the snap-ring in PB Blaster or similar to help release the snap-ring.
What you don't want to do is beak the tips off the snap-ring - I've been there and done that - it's then VERY difficult to remove the snap-ring.
Most of the general automotive type deep reach circlip pliers will NOT reach deep enough. Even the ones we sell have to be attacked with a grinder to allow them to go down deep enough into the 1/2" bore.

I used the kit - works great. I did have to buy the deep reach snap ring pliers from Z1E also. I didn't have to grind them, just had to be very creative when positioning them. But I'm sure grinding would have made it easier.
