Front forks and rear shocks

Front forks and rear shocks

1981 KZ550 LTD I am looking for any info on the front forks and rear shocks. Anything like the proper air, oil and how to check to be sure there is oil in them and that it is up to level. anything regarding the maintenance of them. Thanks

There is not much you can do to the rear shocks except adjust spring preload and replace the entire shock.
For the front forks you either need a manual, or someone to quote the appropiate info from the manual. Ypu need the oil weight, and normally the specified distance from the top of the fork tube to the top of the oil level, either fork compressed or extemded.
Air pressure is usually no more than 7 lbs or so.
