The countershaft splines the same? im asking to find out if front sprockets will interchange.
1976 kz900 in parts but will be going some day soon
1980 kz1000G1
1976 kz900 parts bike

good question...i think as well that they differ from the 73-80 models...to...81-08....even if the splines simlilar there still is a thinkness andslight off set imo....

"NO" the countershaft sprocket splines are "NOT" the same. The "J" motor has a Z-12 spline and all the earlier motors have a Z-13 spline.
