I'm was wanting to attempt to build my own SSS. I have a few designs but the only problem Im having is the hub design. i havent seen one and Im not sure how to design one. Can you guys give some insight and advice on this. How about some pics of the hubs.

Thanks

Think of it like a reverse standard hub. The sprocket still goes on the left of the hub, and the brake rotor still goes on the right. The difference being that the hub doesn't spin on and axle, the hub IS the axle. A really big axle riding on big bearing carried in the end of the swingarm. It may be easier to buy an eBay Duc hub and build the end of your swingarm around that :woohoo:

or do it car wheel style with a stub spindle built solid into the swingarm then attach the brake rotor and sprocket carrier to the back of the hub.

But if you did that Leon, wouldn't the sprocket and brake disk need to be on the same side as the wheel?

porchev,
the ideal way would be the way your swingarm is designed or the pic i showed.yes packaging becomes a problem,as it all gets packed very close.
here is one way to deal with the brake tho,

probably not the view you wanted porchev but thats all i got.
the one thing that i don't like about a sssa is when the wheel center is offset.it makes them look like the front wheel off of a front wheel drive car.not as noticeable with spokes tho.
