On my kz900 i have a 16t front sprocket, with an 18 inch rear wheel. It has a 46t rear sprocket on it now, and that seems like its too much gear i also have a 38t sprocket which was alrite but i wanted a little more "off the line" my question is, what would be a good rear sprocket that would give me a good take off, but not rev to death on the freeway. thnx.

ok so what are you wanting it to do? i run a 16x40 530 on my 1327 with a 16" rear wheel, which im guessing isnt too much shorter than an average 18" wheel.
my tach/speedo dont work but im guessing it winds out around 120 or so but gets there pretty quickly B)

Well, its ridden daily. i wanted a set up that isnt too hard on the motor. like rite now with the 46t rear my fifth gear is like third gear, i can hit it in fifth and it takes off fast, which is fun, but when i back off or i am just buzzing around town in fifth it sounds like i need another gear. when im going slow and just putting around its not so bad, but i dont putt around much.
