As the proud owner of an 82 CSR,dont sell them short.Yes they r low in the butt and have a comfy seat. However, with some suspension mods,a little engine tweaking and a competent rider, they r a great road machine and a helluva lot of fun to ride-plus they wont beat ur butt flat with an uncomfortable seating position.Just thought I would fling that in the mix.bj

there all the same ...mix and match and some stuff wont fit for sure...but they are all the same..often on the older kz-ltd's that have been played with...only the forks or rims or vin can tell for sure...

shorter fenders...leading axles, stepped seats, different tanks and pipes,16 rear rims and such are the basics...

they rock n roll the same and can be made to fly the same....they draw less money often...

yup, there is nothing wrong with the LTD's, just my own personal preference. I can definitely understand why people would like them. As for me, I live for the corners, and I have never had a problem with butt or lower back pain from aggressive riding positions. Therefore, an upright riding position and straight seat are best for me. I have a custom seat on my z650, the foam i used is like a rock, just how i like it B)

yeah i like to be set up for tossing it around too....the ltd's are set for cruising and don't draw my attention accept for the motors as a donor or building block....

My 82 LTD is nice But I definately liked My 76 KZ900 better. The LTD is much more suited for the highway.Very balsy still. I thought of making changes so it would look more like a Z-1 but I think I'll just buy one when I can afford it. Love them both wish I still had the 900 though!

i've had my LTD 700 for about 2 years now and the only problem that i have had with it is the guy that owned it before me rigged all the vacuum lines that were on the motor  so half of them were to the wrong place but i fixed that and havent had a problem since B)
