Tires and Sprocket was created by ewolf
I have a 1982 KZ440-a. I called up a shop and they said a sprocket was going to run me $139 because they were hard to find. And I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find one for a good price, also I want to get new tires and I don't knew where to get a good set.

This is my first bike and I don't know much so any help will be appreciated.

Front sprocket is a JTF509
Rear Sprocket is a JTR476

You'll need to research for exact tooth counts....
You can order from JT Sprockets as well...

Or over @ Z1... find your sprocket...

That's the rule for newbies or oldies... and stay way far away from dealers.

ewolf, welcome.

The stock rear sprocket for the A3 model is 45 tooth.

A Kawasaki Service Manual for your model bike is an investment that will pay for itself many times over.
Ebay is the best source, averages 25 - 35 dollars + shipping.
They come up fairly often, so if someone has one listed for a lot more, your money, your call.

I'll have to try and find a manual for sure. I was told I should replace the front sprocket and chain as well if I was going to replace the rear. Are there any chains or front sprockets you would recommend?

This is the chain I was thinking about- www.bikebandit.com/bikemaster-530h-heavy-duty-chain?b=29109

Edit- Is the front sprocket supposed to have 15 teeth?

Also I was planning on getting the tires in the link below, a rear tire that is 130-90-16 and a front tire that is 100-90-19. Is that what I want?

Z1 Enterprises has the best deal on a good X ring chain (I looked). They also have the best prices on sprockets.

The stock front on mine is 16T, not sure about yours.
