Let me get this straight, the rake is greater on the LTD version than on the standard KZ650, right? Which forks would you recommend then in order to get a sportier "cafe" look and overcome that cruiser-ish rake?

Depends if rake is due to head tube angle or triple offset.

I assume you have the 1980 650 LTD (E model). If so the rake is a little more than the B and C model. The triple clamps are the same as B and C, but the head angle on the frame is more and it has a 16 inch rear wheal as opposed to the 18 inch rear wheel of the B and C model. You can compensate by sliding the forks about an inch higher in the clamps and getting longer shocks. This WILL change the riding characteristics considerably!! It may not be the safest thing to do, however I've done several KZ's of my own with succes, but I ride slow and easy these days.
