Hey everyone. I was doing some reading and im thinking about going through with a swing arm swap. It looks pretty straight forward from what i see here.and i found a cheap one on ebay. forums.kz650.info/index.php?topic=1140

but i was thinking of maybe just using the stock kz 650 wheel and tire instead of the Gpz900r wheel with 1000j hub and sprocket. Would it be possible to do this without having to use an offset sprocket?
spacers arent a problem, i have access to a lathe, and i got family in the fastner buisness.

Any ideas on this conversion would be appritiated very much. or suggestions of other swingers that will work for this bike.

thanks
-Luke

as long as the axle is same diameter the 650 wheel should work, youll probably have to come up with differant rear brake mount depending on which one you have.

Still recovering, some days are better than others.

If you're using the stock wheels you don't have to do anything with the sprockets. You may have to use some shims on the axle to fill in any extra space. Make sure that you use the same amount on both sides of the wheel. If the axle is not the same as the one for your wheel, just change the bearings in the wheel to match the combo.

Also if your axle is bigger than the Zeffer you can drill the eccentrics like I did to put the police wheels on my bike.

cool thanks.
Soooo...I could stick with the zypher axle that comes with the swinger, and get some bearings with original zypher Inner Diameter to fit zypher axle, and 650 Outer Diameter to fit the 650 hub.
eccentrics will work fine that way. sounds like a plan to me!!!

On the 650info forum, they state that everyting hooks up pretty close with little mod. (brake stay, caliper) but it doesnt always work out perfect... I could make a spacing plate on the caliper bracket to move the caliper in if i need to, to make up for spacers used to center wheel in swingarm.

The swinger comes with, piggyback shocks, caliper, brake stay, axle, fastners, eccentrics and pivot bolt!!!! :)

now its time to BID!

Sounds good!
