Old school shock parts

I was wondering as there are some oldschool shocks on ebay, if they are rebuildable tuneable ones (from a major brand, like ohlins,showa, or works etc.) will i be able to find a a rebuild kit/parts? what wears out normally?

I also recently acquired a set of Marzocchi's because they were rebuildable. I think most Kawasaki shocks can be disassembled but the 'rebuilding' aspect is questionable.
