Hi all

Didn't have alot of time tonight. But I did do a Quick measurement on the disc. They are 29cm (11.41") in diameter. Does this tell u guys anything ?

Thx

If you removed the disc, would the caliper mount on the fork? (Is the hole spacing the same?) Or in other words, will the caliper mount if the wheel is off?

Ok do I need to put some heat on the forks to get them out? My grip tool keeps slipping on the bolts. Maybe they used one of those heavy duty loctites in there.

put a pair of vise grips on the non threaded part, theyll come out.if you leave the forks on bike with fender attached it might be easier to get leverage.
they are the same as the exhuast studs on the 76-80 kz900-1000

ok, done and done! just had to buy bigger vise grip and that did the trick easy..

do i have to get the excact studs like the exhaust studs? or is it allowed to take a bolt and chop of the end bit? providing the bolt is up for the task of course..

Exhaust studs from Z1enterprises.com are only $3 and change each. It'd be less hassle then cutting a bolt up, besides, if the bolt breaks you'll be pissed at yourself for trying to save $3!

kawasaki.com has parts diagrams and you can sort out if these studs are the right ones for your brake callipers.

These studs hold your front wheel on so you don't want junk metal screws or studs. Get the right ones!

The axle caps have a front and a back, and must be oriented correctly.

Caps should be installed with the "arrow" on bottom of cap pointing forward.

Good Fortune! :)
