gear ratio shaft drive

hey guys does anybody know how to change the gearing on a 1979 shaft drive, or where i can find a different gear ratio to put in it

I've got an 82 KZ1100 and would also like to change the gearing. With only five gears, running at 80mph at 5000 rpm gets tiring. I know this engine has the power to do 80mph at 3000 rpm.

If not a gear change .. I don't suppose it's possible to get a sixth gear in there ... or open the tranny and change the 5th gear ratio?
