Wheel interchange

I made a mistake and bought a mag wheel (rear,16") intending to replace the spoked wheel on my 1981 kz1000 CSR. It came without a rear brake rotor. The wheel I bought is apparently for a 1980 or earlier bike. The rotor only uses 4 bolts where my newer one uses 7 bolts. My question is, if I were to find the proper rotor for the older wheel, will it then work on my 1981?

That bites. If this doesn't work out, I have a complete wheel assembly for an '82 LTD that may be a better fit.

Yes it will, once you get the rotor.

77-80 kz1000 rear rotor should work,i think 750 rear rotor as well as 650 may also work just make sure you have the right spacers for the wire wheel

I just happen to have a 78 kz650 parts bike. I will have to go check the rear rotor diameter. Thanks for the info.
