1982 Kz 750 H LTD Chain...

Hi all, First time post and a brand new rider / owner.

I had a chain that was stretched on my kz750. I tried to replace it with a chain I have from a kz650. Lo and Behold, doesn't quite mate up. I can't for the for the life of me find any documentation to tell me where I can GET a chain, or what sort/ size chain I need.

Any recommendations or ideas?

-Thanks in advance

Hello, Jason and WELCOME to KZr! :cheer:
We're glad you're here! :)

Click > Listed at Z1E

Would also consider installing new sprockets with the new chain.

Good Fortune! :)

Ok so the original chain on 750 is broken and off the bike already. Does anyone have a way of getting the drive sprocket off if the chain is already off the bike?

You did make it hard on yourself. Take the old chain and mate it back to the drive sprocket. than Channellock or clamp the two ends to the swing arm to prevent it from moving. Now use an impact wrench to loosen the drive sprocket.

I agree with the General ****, CHANGE THE SPROCKETS. They are the cheaper of the endeavor and a bad sprocket will destroy a new chain in an Extremely short time.
