BREAK PAD CLIPS/"SPRINGY" THING MISSING
10 May 2010 14:15
Going througth the breaks on my new/old kz750H and found that the Jack "A" who replaced only the pads on the font left caliper managed to lose the two steel protective strips (which the tabs from the break pads sit on, as well as the top spring clippy thing that snaps into the underside of the caliper. I have a terrible feeling that I am not going to be able to find these. Anyone have any suggestions/resources?
Thanks

Using the front brake diagrams at Kawasaki.com for the 81 750-Ltd-4 & 81 650-CSR, the cross-reference shows that a number of bikes use the same pad guides & pad springs, including some later model Police bikes. And they're listed as Active, so they might be available at the dealer. If so, Z1Enterprises.com ought to be able to get them.

Are those the anti squeal shims missing? I think you can run without those if necessary.
