Any tips on lightening a KZ? The manual for my bike reads "462 lbs." for my KZ 750.

The engine usually weighs about the most, you can pull that off and it will make the bike quite light.

Ha, ha, ha. Now let's be serious for a minute. I was thinking lighter wheels and a lighter exhaust. Maybe replacing the 630 chain with a 530. I personally lost 15 lbs and I still have 10 more to go.

One way to reduce the weight is to replace your steel fasteners, sprockets, and chain with titanium parts. Titanium is 45% lighter than steel so depending on how many pieces you replace you can knock off quite a bit of weight. Ed

I have a 70's style nylon rear sprocket that is sure to save some weight. Still has all the teeth too. I was gonna make a shop clock with it

First of all we would have to have a description of your bike. We have no idea of what you have and how stock it is or is not. There are a couple of things you can shave a few pounds from the bike. It depends on how much money you want to spend also. Will the resultant few pounds make a big difference? Not on the street it won't. But never the less you might be able to shave, say 15-20#?

Intake system
Handlebars.
Fenders.
Tires.
Wheels
Chain & sprockets.
