Sidewinder kickstart fabrication?

I have a sidewinder and I have 11 to 1 compression. Does anyone know how to fab a kickstarter or buy one.

Someone may have an answer/solution for ya but would kind of help if we new year and model you're speaking of....

Heat up and bend the original one to the required shape then weld in a gusset to resist bending and twisting.
Here's one i did earlier to miss my rearsets which was then powder coated black.

OMR, Jason has a '78 KZ1000...
Take another splined section from a second Kickstarter arm, and weld it onto your existing Kickstarter Arm. This should step you out far enough without having to put a bend in your Kickstarter. I couldn't find the Arm I have here to show you, but you get the idea,

You could also try the stronger, heavy duty J or GPZ11 starter as they are a straight bolt in swop and use four commutator brushes instead of the earlier 1000's two.

Yes , Any of the later J style engines (1980-ish and on) with no kickstart shaft use heavier duty four brush motors.
