Any suggestions where I might find an LTD seat on a seat pan that has the post for and fits the 1975 Z1?
Looking to find one at a reasonable price.
If you want you can PM me with info.

No, The seat is so rusty that is has pieces missing, even if i Cleaned it the metal that is left is missing in a lot of places and weak.
I will have to replace the seat pan as well as the seat,
i sat outside since 1994 and it had not been started since then!! ( Yes , we got it running again before we started tearing it down), we have the bike completely dissasembled, have had to buy over $2500.00 in parts to replace on it.
There is a story behind why I am doing this, the bike belonged to a friend who I had served with in the USAF back in the early 70's , He passed away suddenly 2 years ago and his widow called and asked if I wanted the bike, I drove to Charlotte ( 6 hrs away) then was shocked to find that it was in such bad shape, nonethelsee I had given my WORD to her that I would as a Tribute to our friendship, restore the bike to its former glory. It has been a challenge indeed!!, if you would like to see pics of the bike and the condition it was in before my cousin and I started the restoration.. send me an e-mail address by PM I will e-mail you pics. You will just shake your head
Thanks

That is a very Nobel thing to do for an old friend. The bike is sentimental so any money spent will just make it that much better.
And since it is a Z1 it will still have value when done.
Thank you for your service
You can get a brand new seat with a brand new pan @

Intersting
Every time I talk to someone at Dennis Kirk or e-mail them .....soon as I say its a 1975 Z1 their immediate reaction is "Oh we don't have parts for that bike"!!
I actually have a Dennis Kirk Catalogue, can you perhaps give me a page number? Or?? The thing is run into is the different mounting on the 75Z1 from the LTD , so I look for an LTD seat that has been fitted to a Z1 seat pan.
Thanks For Your Help!!
