brakes debarcle

I have a debacle as to how to fix my feel on my brake lever,
My z650 has brembo calipers hooked up to a kwaka 5/8 master cylinder. The problem is that I hav'nt got much feel. Theres about 10mm/1/2" on the lever from go to stop. Good brakes though.

whould I use a smaller ( lets say 9/16 master cylinder) to get more feel? and is there a kwaka model that has a 9/16 master cylinder as std

A 5/8 mc is for dual disks.
The single disk mc have 1/2 stamped on the underside (some of them, anyway).
