77 kz1000 clutch cable

hey guys wahst up i almost have my bike all put back together but im having difficulties getting the clutch cable right. i ran it and what not hooked it up to the handle and when i go to strt the bike in gear witht he clutch in it pops foward. any one got any tipes for adjusting it

Turn in the handle bar adjuster almost all the way in then take up the slack with the midway adjuster then go back to the handle bars for fine tuning. If this does not fix it you will have to adjust it at the sprocket cover
