Front and rear brakes frozen was created by rayellis
All my brakes were seized up since bike had set up so long. What would need to be done to get them in working order?

Thank You

give the calipers a smack with a deadblow hammer right on the pistons and then you will be able to move the bike then remove the calipers from the brake lines and remove the brake pads, put a piece of card board between the pistons , get a rubber tipped blow gun and blow the pistons out (watch the position of your fingers trust 90 lbs of air can cause the pistons to shoot right causing lots of pain if they are in the way) then remove the o-rings in the caliper body and clean out all the cyrstalized crap in behind them. inspect the seals closly for any damage and if they are good reinstall or buy new kits from z1. that would be preferable. then lube up the pistons with the same brake fluid your going to use and push them back in with your thumbs they will go nice. also before i forget clean up the piston really well and inspect it for damage if damaged replace that as well. hope this helps.

If the pistons are seized in the brake calipers, there are two ways of getting them out: 1.Using compressed air, apply it at the brake fluid fitting(CAUTION!!)the pistoms may move really quickly, so cover the parts with a rag to catch them.

2.Using a grease gun, again, apply pressure to move the pistons, only this time it's better controlled.
