What's a rear brake??? Oh- I forgot it's that rusty thing on the back wheel that I always hve to scrub the rust from with sandpaper because it looks so ugly. :silly: The only time I ever use my rear brake is when I stop at a light and want to let go of the handle bars. (that is no joke) I have a GS1100 swing arm on my bike and I used the stock brake assembly that came with the bike. The only thing I also had to get was the GS link.

Here's a picture from the right side. The rear axle I used is from a KZ1300. It is the perfect length. The adjusters are the ones that came from the old KZ arm. The shocks I am using are made by "Progressive Suspensions", and are for a Honda Lead Wing. Because of the extra length in the arm you have to use longer shocks or you will nullify the positive handling effect of the swing arm by changing the overall geometry of the bike.

A little more use of rear brake during everyday riding may help reduce front tire cupping.

I like to balance front and rear brakes. I like to feel the bike stop nice and flat. I really dislike the diving that happens when using the front brake only. If you touch the rear brake a fraction before applying the front brake the back and will squat a bit allowing greater braking force to be applied to the front brake.
