i like the look of the drag bars but was wondering what you guys do for the master cylinder. do you use aftermarket or is there another style off another bike? do you use risers to gain clearance over the triple trees? thanks for any advice and assistance

i had problems running the 78 style mastercylinder so i just let my throttle hang out past the bars about an inch and lived with it.the 73-77 style mc might be morecompact though, ill run superbike bars when it goes back together sometime in 2015!

Still recovering, some days are better than others.

One option is to go with Superbike bars. I know they aren't as aggressive as drag bars but they have enough room for everything to fit correctly. I have them on my '78.

Drag bars come in different dimensions.

The drag bars we keep on the shelf are:
Width 27.5" Rise 0" Pullback 3.75" Center Width 8.5"

We can get some that are 28" wide, pullback 3.8" and center width 5.6" (this is too narrow for many bikes).

I've seem them advertised as wide as 30".

Mine has the Superbike bars and some kind of different master cylinder. I think my master cylinder maybe a 77model?

if you don't mind the slightly anachronistic setup you could put on a mc from a late model sportbike like I did, they are really easy to fit because the cup can be put wherever.

thanks, i may have to go with something wider to get the clearances i need. do you know if there are any risers available that would raise the bars 1/2 to 1"?

These are setbacks but they do make a riser setback. You might have to do some searching but they do make them
