Headlight ears for kz650

I am planning on replacing the headlight ears on my kz650. I wanted to buy them from z1 enterprises. They don't list any for the 650 and I am unable to locate any other places that sell them. I think the ones for the 900's or 1000's might be the same fit. Does anybody know for sure ?

The 900 and 1000 is a different part number, so not exactly the same. Close though.

Has anyone physically tried fitting the any of the fork ears from other models sold on Z1 Enterprises onto a 650? I've been looking to replace mine and the left one is especially rare. The ones on Z1E look the same, but do they fit the 36mm forks on a 650 (I don't know what size forks are on these other models)? Also, are they the correct length for a 650 (the distance between the upper and lower triple trees)?

I'm sure a lot of people here must be having this same problem when restoring their 650's.

There are a couple NOS right ones on eBay and this NOS left one (you might make the guy a reasonable offer and see if he takes it).

Left KZ650 Ear

Kawman & others. The swap goes both ways with ease. I've used OE 650 (B1) ears on a KZ1000 A1 & Vice versa. w/ stock triple clamps. (you will also need the rubber locating rings, as well as "ears") depending on year/model KZ650, You can also use the "wire & washer" CSR H/L mount which mounts to the "speedo & tach" studs & lower clamp. SHOP CARFULLY if you elect this, There are at least 3 different configurations with differnt heights & top mount spreads & you'll need to open the H/L mount holes if you opt to mount h/l shell w/ t/s stems...
