is there a way to drop an inch or two inches out of the front end of a 78 kz650? havent had any luck finding lowering springs or anything for it. id prefer lowering it to raking it out. thanks!

If you want it done right you'll have to have spacers made for the damper rods in the forks and cut the springs to match. Remember, when you cut the springs it increases the spring rate.

can you raise the forks up into the triples? if you have to put some riser mounts on to raise the bars for clearance.

See circled area. About 1.5" (38mm) frame neck drop by shoving the forks up.

Internal lowering blocks are definitely the "correct" way to do it. The blocks are cheap but you have take apart your forks to install them. Here's what they are:

I've done both the internal and external with equally good results.

The internal method looks best and performs a little better than stock if you match the spring rate with the rear. It requires much more effort to complete, as said...

External method makes very little difference in performance, but provides the desired drop with little effort. Final appearance is ok, but obvious.

Whatever you like...

Why don`t you just loosen the triple clamps and drop it down. I just dropped mine 25mm. It takes 10 mins.

i have had them lowered in the tripples before, but with the new bars i made they only slide down about 3/4" before they hit the underside of the bar. i could do some risers but thats ugly and obvious and changes the position of my bars which ive spent alot of time cutting and welding to get right, lol. i guess ill have to look into the lowering block system. thanks guys
