I know there are old threads about these bikes.
1980 KZ LTD 1000.
Just need an update.
Are these Mark II engines?
Big pin crank? heavy duty tranny?
I can buy one for $1100 bottom line, down from $1500 asking price.
It's painted over green, and has a 4 into 1 header.
The rest is all stock. 10,500 miles.
New battery and new rear tire and a carb cleaning.
Guy said it will start right up and run.
It is in Western New York, outside of Buffalo.
I have not seen it yet.
I just want to clean it up and flip it on ebay.
Or here on this site.

Opinions?????

Thanks

Just My opinion but I hope you don't plan on making to much money on your flip. I have found that with these old bikes taking them apart and cleaning them up is more of a labor of love than of profit. You always find something else that should be fixed and pretty soon you've got more in it than you can sell it for (I know, it has happened to me almost every time). If you want to make money on it seeing as you are getting a fair price on it, sell it on ebay as is, don't invest a dime this is the best way I have found to make any money. Again this is just my opinion and if it was my bike I probably still would take it down to the frame, put to much money into it, and sell if for a loss but I love doing it.:woohoo:

1985 ZX 750 Turbo ( just damn fun to ride )
1978 KZ650 C2 (mild restore for now, work ride)
1973 H1 (some day this will be a nice bike)
1977 KE 250 ( resto project, someday
2014 HD streetglide (on order)
Located on the banks of the muddy Mississippi, LeClaire,IA
