130/17/80

Where can I get a set of slicks for my bike?

You'll want the 5.5x18 slick. they are more for a 3.5" rim but lots of guys use them on stock rims...just rounds out the tread area some. Mickey Thompson's are the ones to get. Not sure if Goodyear makes them anymore. Heard guys were having problems with the Goodyears lately but have no personal experience with the Goodyears though.

Mickey Thompson's ?? Wouldn't these be more appropriate for drag racing rather than sportbike track?

Mike, some tips. Road race slicks were/are made in limited quantities, and the majority in currently used sizes. and, have a relitivly short shelf life... IE a two year old "new" slick is junk.. 19 inch tires went by the wayside 20 years ago. and unless a specific vintage class racer requred them only limited run tires are made and will be Pricy, say, $200.00 bucks a throw. BTW, your' tire sizes a re 130/80-17 & 110/80-19. the 1st digit being width, 2nd aspect ratio (percentage of width in height)3rd, rim diameter. If INTENT on running slicks, contact a major tire disributor for avalable sizes.. I would rec. Dunolp, or Metzler. I would rec. staying away from warehouses, as the odds of scoring a "new" 20 year old tire is probable. RR tires are generally good for 2 or 3 race/practice sessions, with slicks going 1/2 again to twice as long. do some research, (manufacture dates are molded into sidewalls) luck G

why not try some good street legal dot tires like avon venoms they would work very well for what your wanting to do look at the 600 class and super stock are doing on dot legal treaded tires. and you should be able to find something that would fit.
