Zephyr shocks for KZ650 was created by leitz
I want to upgrade the rear suspension of my kz650 and at the same time up the back of my bike near 1 inch.
The stock lenght of 650 shocks is 33 cm.
35cm Zephyr 750 shocks (or Ikon aftermarket shocks for Zephyr 750) would be ok, and my question is:
Will i have any problems with the chain or swingarm with the new swingarm angle? will the chain touch the swingarm in road bumps?
thanks a lot and sorry for my poor english

I don't think it will be a problem with just 1" difference, but you could check the angle and run of the chain using a strut/flat bar the length you need. Just can't really road test it on bumps etc.

Thanks, i´m gona try it. That way i can check any possible problem with chain and swingarm, and also rake and trail, stock is 27 deg rake and 108 mm trail.
With 0.8 inches more shocks length, i think will be around 26 deg and a little more agressive sport position.
thanks

I am also interested in this. I was thinking to upgrade my z650 both front and rear shocks with those off a zephyr 750. The rear seems pretty simple, has anyone tried swapping forks with a zephyr? I heard from someone that even the brand new zephyr still shares many interchangeable parts with the z650.
