Just heard of KCM as a manufacturer of drive chains. Anyone running one of these? Any good?

Don't know about KCM chains but it's the main link between engine and tire and don't need chain busting at 70 mph! Also, a cheaper chain will not last nearly as long as a good one. I spent about $90 for my chain, it is an "X" ring (forget brand) and after almot 7,000 mi I had to adjust it a tiny bit once! Be on the safe side, I know money is tight but it might cost you more in the long run using a cheap chain! :)

I totaled a great bike from a cheap chain. Although I was doing a burnout at the time that is no excuse. a good chain will take the demand put on it when a cheap one will not. The chain broke wrapped around the counter sprocket grenaded the cases and wrapped the complete chain into a nice coil then busted the bowl on the carb and a massive fire was under my legs in no time. Needless to say the bike burnt to a crisp and was a total loss. All from a cheap chain. I still do burnouts but not with an inferior chain.
