can any body tell me a good tip for getting spoked wheels to look nice and new looking again-im almost done with my 79 kz 650 restore project but im not happy with my spokes iknow they will never be perfect again but there has to be a better way than what im doing[very fine steel wool and chrome polish]thankzi n advance ...mike

Here's a KZR topic w photos - Polishing Spokes(again!) .

In a nutshell from my notes... Basically, use Scotch brite pads cut into little squares to remove the old rust, then apply Autosol using a leather shammy (reg leather suede) cut into about 1.5”x1’ strips. Rub a bit of Autosol into the shammy...etc... Here's one of Sandy's pics.

Try using "Autosol" comes in a tooth paste type tube using clean soft cotton rags, great stuff @ $8 a tube. Doug

I reckon the best solution is to get the wheels respoked with stainless.
I will do that to my CSR650 one day.
Pretty expensive though here in the UK.
