Need help with frame ID.

I own a bastich GPz 1100 and reading this thread got me wondering what frame I actually have.

The bike is an 82 GPz 1100 B2 engine in what I was told by the seller to be an 82 KZ 1000 J frame - I tried checking the frame number at Zedder.com, but couldn't find any match, in fact the J numbers listed at Zedder look completely different from mine.

My VIN/frame number is KZTOOJ-017732 (or KZT00J-017732), definitely a J style frame and definitely off a KZ 1000 of some sort as the bike is registered as such.

Might add that I'm in Europe (Denmark), could that be why the number is different?

It's not really a big deal, I just like to know what I have - any help/info much appreciated, thanks.
77 KZ 650 B1, 82 GPz 1100 B2.

Not sure this will help as I think it's for U.S. bikes:
www.kawasaki.com/DefaultFrame.aspx?strCo.../VICHOOSEVEHICLE.ASP

And this website also:
www.motoverse.com/tools/vin/kawasaki.asp
1982 GPZ1100 B2
General Dynamics/Convair 1983-1993
GLCM BGM-109 Tomahawk, AGM-129A Advanced Cruise Missile (ACM)

OnkelB...the frame VINs on www.zedder.com are for North America. The rest of the world got the 6 digit prefix of KZTOOJ...while North America got the 11 digit prefix. However, the numeric portion of the frame VIN remained the same...so, this means that you have #17732 of the J frame series. This also means that you have a 1983 Z1000J3 frame.

So a J3 it is. My paperwork says the first registration was May 83 - wasn't sure if it was a late 82 or 83 J or maybe an R frame. Thanks for clearing that up, good info about the prefix too, didn't know that.
