tank swap?

this should be an easy one for you experts. I have a 78 kawasaki kz1000 ltd that ive done endless amounts of work to. What im looking to do now is swap my tank for a bigger one. Does anybody know a bigger tank that will swap right out? mk2 or gpz? . I have yet to find one with the same mounts as my tank and its becoming increasingly more and more frustrating. Any help from you guys would be much appreciated.

Just get a non-LTD tank from the same year. It should mount up with no problems and give you a little more capacity.

Doug has sage advice...try a KZ1000A1, KZ1000A2, or KZ1000A2A fuel tank...it'll be a direct drop-on replacement and larger...they appear regularly on eBay.

hmmm i can only seem to find 650 tanks at the time. hopefully more will appear as summer comes on.
