Front Axle Studs
15 Dec 2009 07:46
Do the front axle studs that hold the clamp on the axle press in or are they threaded? I have one butched and need to replace it without doing more damage.

they come out easy...by double nutting and locking the nuts then backing em out, becuase the threads on the clamp side have areas that never get used all the way and will accept another nut spun on all the way.....did mine last summer...good luck

Thanks guys for the input. I have a set of 900/1000 fork that I was able to rob one from, I was thinking as I was removing the stud that it looked like an exhaust stud.
