Have a stock swing arm on my 1975 Z1. From the many posts I've read here on this topic, a 130/80-18 tire is the widest I dare go with a 18" rear tire.

I plan on using Dunlop GT501's front and rear. Dunlop suggests using a 3" (WM5) wide rear rim. Looked at Buchanan's website and can only find 2.5"(WM4) & 3.5"(WM6) rims as an option.

Given a choice which rim (2.5" or 3.5") would result in the better tire profile, yet keep me from rubbing on the swing arm?

Anybody know of any other websites where I can find chrome steel rims?

if your buying aluminum rim go with 3.5" you shouldnt have any problems and you can always put a little wider tire on rim if you change swingarm.;) goodluck, happy wrenching!

Go with the 3.5 rim. I run one with a 130 tire. With that size tire it flattens the tread area some for a flatter profile then with a 3.0 rim(which is probably the right size rim). I use mine to race with so the wider footprint helps but I have never had any problems on the street in fast corners. I really like the set-up myself.
