which seats will fit on a kz650?

im looking for a new seat for my 77 kz650, but i've reached the same problem as usual, i live in japan. Kz650 parts are rare and expensive, and shipping prices from the states are killing me. There is a really great used parts store by my house here, but they dont have any 650 seats. They do however have seats for a kz550 and some other z models. My question is could i make any of these seats fit my bike? I still have the old seat, so i could use the original seat pan if i had to. The only thing that needs replaced is the inner foam.

Yes i have. I'd like to but it seems like a difficult process to shape the seat foam.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to try it. Others have done it though - the most common tool mentioned is an electric carving knife. If your old foarm isn't too bad, maybe you can use it as a template.
