My gauges are dirty inside is there an easy way to clean em?

Current bike..1977 kz1000 1075cc kit,dyna everything,lotsa chrome,kerker pipe.

i think it was from plummen. wasnt there something about using spotless dishwasher soap and dipping them face first in it, then letting it dry?

I've never read an easy way here or anywhere else. As far as I know dissassembly is the only way. This means butchering the ring seal. Guys have done it. I had a junk speedo I thought I would give it a try just for future reference. I can condense the story to a simple "don't do it".

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

could always just send then off to get refurbished over the winter. i think the place is called z-resto, he puts new glass and recalibrates, looks like brand new ive seen them after..:)

Yes, disassembly is required but can be done by following wired georges tech

1980 KZ650F1, Bought new out the door for $2,162.98!
